Oxford is a charming old Bermuda home with 4 bedrooms,and 3 bathrooms, A delightful one acre waterfront property with a private beach and incredible water views. Originally built circa 1780, it served as a Public house during the construction of Royal Naval Dockyard. Oxford and with next door, Blue Flag,  offers two large and stylish homes, side by side with their own beaches – so a rare opportunity for visitors to Bermuda to enjoy this special location!  These spectacular houses, the original portions constructed around 1750, are ready now for family gatherings and reunions. Set in extensive mature gardens, the houses can be rented separately or as one large venue for a never-to-be-forgotten family or corporate event. Accommodating up to 18 guests in total (and we can suggest other homes nearby to handle any overflow) everyone can stay together and happy without breaking the bank! Prettily furnished and tastefully updated, the homes have wonderful patio and verandah areas where the ocean and beach views can be enjoyed. At Oxford, the porch looks North East which allows guests to enjoy watching the sun and moon rise. There are three bedrooms on the main level entrance level -  there is a King bed in the principle bedroom and a King bed in the second bedroom, in the third bedroom there are 2 singles (that can be made up into a King). Two bathrooms are up stairs. A new 4th bedroom on the lower ground floor has just been added with a Queen bed. To reach the 4th bedroom you step outside the house and down a set of steps to reach this lower room. Located in this lower level is the blue bedroom, a new bathroom and a small sitting area. Upstairs again, in the charming living room there are 2 Queen pull-out couches for any extra guests. A Graco pack n play or crib can also be provided for guests with young children. There is also a wheelchair available for those with limited mobility. The kitchen is fully equipped for the family cook including a Keurig coffee maker. There is cable TV offered as well as a DVD player and WIFI (100Mbps- the opportunity to increase speed is available if the tenant pays for the upgrade. You will find 2 beach chairs  (light and stackable making them easy to carry to the beach) that are great for sitting in the water. We also have chairs and loungers that we generally keep up off the beach so they don’t wash away with a high tide or go “missing”. Guests are welcome to take them down to the beach but must bring them back up or secure them with the rope at the top of the beach. There are no beach umbrellas as there is natural shade most of the day if needed.  There are swimming noodles, floaties, masks, and flippers available. For kayaks etc. H2O watersports is across the street with a huge selection of water craft . Local fisherman use the close by public dock and so finding fresh fish is as easy as walking down to the dock.  Contact [email protected] for bookings.
