Tucked away down a fern lined country lane, passing National Trust farm land, this  beautifully renovated three storey Victorian home is furnished with and features, important Bermuda Cedar trims, doors and windows. Set high on a hill you can often catch glimpses of the ocean from some of the large windows.  A private swimming pool, surrounded by lush greenery, invites you to spend lazy days when not exploring the beautiful landscape of Bermuda. Locust Lodge offers a discerning family or group of friends, seeking complete peace and privacy, an ideal vacation home. The living accommodation is well presented and offers both a comfortable living-room plus a cozy den. Guests can enjoy traditional furnishings and interesting objects d'arts including several model sailing ships on display. There are 3 bedrooms with 3 ensuite bathrooms. The Principle bedroom on the top floor, featuring beautiful original cedars beams, is reached by a charming twisting cedar staircase and has a Queen bed with shower and full bath ensuite.  Below the living area downstairs, down a set of steps to the lower floor, the second bedroom has a Queen bed and the third bedroom has a Double bed. The two ensuite bathrooms downstairs have shower rooms plus each have a separate closet area.The TV lounge is between the two downstairs bedrooms so they are individually quite private.  There is also a Queen-sized sofa bed in the downstairs TV room and an air mattress is available for a child.  On the centre floor, there is a separate powder room / laundry room at the entrance. (with toilet and basin). The fully equipped kitchen has everything the family cook needs as well as a lovely rustic dining table and chairs. From the kitchen window you can view the comfy outside seating area and a Gas BBQ. Laundry facilities are available as well as an iron and ironing board. A hair dryer and beach towels are provided.  Centrally located on the island, down a rural lane, off Middle Road you will find this the ideal base to explore the island with great beaches such as John Smiths Bay, Shelley Bay and Elbow Beach within a 15-minute moped/electric car drive.  Hamilton is only 3.0 kilometers (1.86 miles) from the house.  Contact [email protected] for bookings.
